Apple/IBM Multi OS PowerPC 970 Chips...
With these new multi OS chips: http://www.macworld.co.uk/news/index.cfm?NewsID=10497, does anyone feel that Apple will produce machines that run OS-X, Windows and Linux? If so, timeframe? Would these be servers or consumer machines? What effects (economic, marketing and mindshare) would this have on Apple? If this is true, it would be AWESOME to run any platform you want on a mac. Yes, Apple would have a huge headstart because of their ownership of the Apple OS and its fitting relationship with IBM. Any downsides to this opportunity? Happy New Year everyone! Many Respects,
Donnie Dixon.

No. Those chips can run several PPC-OSses at once, but no windows or Linux/x86.
And I see no reason why Apple would use this ability at all.
Locked.
