problem ejecting the CDs on my ibook

Well I have sort of a problem with my Ibook 700 CDRW drive.

Actually, when i eject a CD / DVD etc, either using the eject key (F12) or by dropping the CD on the trash can, the drive makes a "clac clac clac clac " kinda noise, trying to eject the CD.

Sometimes it ejects, sometimes it doesn't.

So far, I have found I can help the CD ejecting, when I hear that noise, I lift the right side of the ibook a few inches, and it usually ejects without trouble.

Weird, isn't it ?

is it a reported bug on the drive ? I'm still under warranty, but I don't want to give my iBook, even for a few days !!!!!

Not sure what a fix might be, but I've had this behavior before with a couple of different iBooks. It was happening really infrequently though, not even once a week.

I always thought it sounded like it was working the thing hard though... if it keeps it up, I'd say a trip to the local shop wouldn't hurt.

I had that same exact problem on my old 600 dual usb ibook. It would click but never open. If I would push the cd drive in just a little bit, hit the eject button and let it click a couple of times then release the cd tray it would open. Apple will fix it if its still under warranty.
