Garageband 2 has some nice new features
Garageband 2 looks like a great update. Among the new features:
? You can now record 8 tracks at the same time. This was one of the primary complaints from many people.
? It does music notation. And you can edit software instruments in music notation view. I'd like to see if it can print it though.
? What you record can now be adjusted in time and pitch as if they were loops, and you can save them as loops. Pretty cool.
? It can import MIDI now, so you don't need iffy shareware to do it. There's so much MIDI available, that this was a serious limitation.
? It has "musical typing" so if you don't have a piano you can use your Mac's keyboard.
It seems like they really took care of the most common complaints that people had about the first garageband.
