Network ready scanner?
Hi,
I'm in the process of setting up a small group of computers and could use some advice.
I just bought a network printer - the HP 2420DN. It has an Ethernet port and an embedded print server so that any computer can print directly to it via the network without requiring any other computer to be 'hosting' the printer.
I'm wondering if such a similar product is available for scanners? That is, I want to be able to share a network scanner such that any computer can use it without requiring any other computer to be 'hosting' it.
I had a look at Canon, HP and Epson product range, but all their scanners only have USB2.0 connectivity. (Or maybe I missed something)
By the way, in the above, any computer = Mac/Win/Lin (but mostly the first two).
