Man...I just had a weird MWSF '02 dream....

Last night I got a very weird but funny dream. I dreamed myself being in Steve Jobs' keynote in MWSF.

Here's the run down of the 'keynote' I saw:

1) Steve Jobs came out

2) Talking about OSX....now at the 9 o'clock stage.

3) He invited Adobe's CEO on stage and talk about their stratagy. Then called another guy up to demo the new Photoshop......

4) Then Steve is back and start talking about their hardware

5) Talk about their LCD displays and then introduced a new 24" Cinema Display. He showed the new one side by side with the 'old' one. The new display has narrower frame. The screen's height is the same...only wider.

6) Then the projector screen turn to that new cinema display. Steve then showed how benefitical that extra 2" screen space to user. He shows QuarkXpress, Photoshop, Excel, and Premiere (weird)

7) Afterward then he said "Okay, let go to the internet" Then he launch OmniWeb (not internet explorer, weird)

8) After Omni web launched it immediately loaded the home page. With couple of lines and then an image of the side view of the QuickSilver G4.

9) The lines on the screens are like this

Jimmy: Dad, what is that?

Dad: It's a supercomputer from Apple.

Introducing the new Power Macintosh G5

10) Then the crowd screamed and clapped their hand for over a minute

11) The G5 spots the same QuickSilver case...only the internal components are changed....too bad I didn't see the price and the 'bake-off' unfortunately

12) Then Steve also said "Now it's time to introduce the all-new iMac. The crowd cheered

....but when the machine just started to came out my alarm clock suddenly screamed and I was pulled out from the dream

Basically that's it. I never have keynote/trade show type of dreams before....this is weird...but I think it would be fun to share

On the iMac thing.....guys...go to sleep tonite and help me fill up that missing part

The G5 is definitely a "one more thing." Otherwise your dream might even be realistic. Except, of course, for the fact that the G5 won't be ready for at least a year.

Or so you assume as no one really has any info on it. I for one think that we wil get a G5 in Jan, whether it's a new G4 called a G5 to make Apple look good is moot.

Interesting dream. I think the iMac would be shown before the G5 tho.

Leonis, buddy...you need to get out more if you're dreaming about MacWorld Expos and such. Surely there must be a woman you know who could provide more interesting dreams for you.

unless the new iMac design is so much more impressive than the G5 (if rumored as G4+)

True, but I think overall the people at MWSF would rather hear about the G5.

    Don't forget "big monitors".

15" monitors only sell to bottom-feeding e-Machines buyers, who wouldn't buy a Mac anyway. The iMac is in DESPERATE need of either a 15" LCD or a 17" CRT

Yeah, but the iMacs have needed a monitor like that for a while but it's still had the horrible 15" CRT.

Hey, I think it's time for the first of the 789 "Your Expectations for MWSF 2002" threads that will show up until MWSF 2002.

Nice dream, Leonis. Let's see if I can contribute...
