Locked out of powerbook

Yup, my friend was playing with my laptop and locked me out of it. Any way i can get back in or at least get my files off before i blow it out?

    Check the apple support site for unlocking bootprom passwords.

    To unlock your password just boot from a panther cd and choose the change password service.

    (or boot -S and change it yourself if you know the root password)

    Do you know if the recovery CDs that came with my ibook will work with the powerbook? THe i book is a 1 ghz and the powerbook is a 1.2ghz

    A lot of times the recovery disks that come with other hardware wont work.

    It didn't i hat to get a copy of 10.3 wish it could have waited untill 10.4 lost money
