I have a cube with a cd drive and need to mount a dvd to install iWork. I have the LaCie DVD/FireWire drive, is it possible to use that? I have tried several diferent things, but I am thinking that toast could help me, is this correct?
Yes, it must work. Just plug your external DVD drive in your Cube with the cord supplied with the Cube, insert the DVD and it should mount without any problems. If you don't see the DVD on the desktop or in the Finder sidebar, go to the Finder's preferences, then either:
a) in General, check CDs, DVDs and iPods;
b) in Sidebar, check Removable media (such as CDs).
Note that you should install the latest OS update for better compatibility.
