ARD 2.x: Can't Get Reports from Clients?
Since I upgraded to ARD 2.0 and then 2.1, I have never been able to successfully get a report generated from any of my 200 LAN-based Mac clients. The Report Status/progress window says
"Collecting Report Data"...
It will run forever if I let it. It never returns a report. Not 1 Mac out of 200 will return even the most simple report info to the admin.
I have tried clean installs of both the admin app and the client components, too. Nothing works. I use ARD 2.1 all day for remote administration. Its a life saver. But I really need to get the Reporting functionality to work too. Apple Discussion forums mention my exact problem, but nobody has a clue how to fix it. I have tried everything. All my Macs are running 10.3.7. It is not a network or subnetting issue. I verified all my network settings.
Also, Is the SQL component in ARD on the client or on the admin side?
Has anyone seen this problem?
