Why when I make an image on photoshop that is a shape, I save it, when I view it it makes the backround white, when i had the background transparent. I made a folder for the dock and it shows a white background behind it.

I recommend using
Can Combine Icons
Paste in from Photoshop and choose Copy As Icon then paste into any folder/disk/app you want.
But that's one of many ways.
I use CCI because it has so many other great features as well.
