My iBook G3 is going wonky.
Hi. I just got a 512MB RAM upgrade for my iBook G3. I'm not sure if that is why my laptop is going crazy or not. Random colours in vertical bars appear when I log in and put the computer to sleep/wake it up. Sometimes it fixes itself and sometimes the laptop freezes and I'm forced to restart. About 30% of the time the iBook will start up properly.
Obviously this is bad and I should get it checked, but I'd like some info on what to tell the guy when I bring it in for repair. Is it the RAM's fault or is my computer just dying?
Original Specs for the iBook:
- 14" iBook G3
- 700MHz
- 256MB RAM (512MB recently installed)
- 30GB HD
- Combo Drive
- Airport Card Built-in
