Hi i recentlty bought a broken powerbook G3 from ebay its screen was smashed but everything else what still there. After about an hour of fiddling around inside I managed to get it to start but only for about 2 seconds.

(When connected whih the adapter) It powers up without even tounching the power button stays on for 2 seconds (power light lights up and hard drive breifly spins) then it turns off then a few seconds later it tuns it self back on and keeps turning on and off.

Any Ideas on whats causing this bad Hd, Bad A/c Board or is it the screen thats effecting it.

Any help would be great thanks!!!

i'm guessing its probably a motherboard problem, is there any way to reset the motherboard?

I believe that one of the things that is looked for during start up is a monitor. Did you try connecting an external monitor during start up?
