iMac G5 sound question

Sorry if this is somewhat of a stupid/simple question, but I'm looking into buying an iMac G5 and was wondering if the sound card installed is capable of playing 5.1 surround sound. I just bought some Logitech Z-5500 speakers over the summer and would love to hear them while staring at that beautiful mac display. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Macs don't use sound cards to my knowledge. All sound is processed by the OS and the processor. However, the imac should have no trouble with 5.1 surround sound as far as I know.

    It won't have any trouble doing that. It even has fiber sound output.
