Font Book Speed Enhancements

I just got a new 20" iMac maxed out with everything. This is my first time with Jaguar. I love the set up of font book, and the concept of it over other type jugglin programs. Are there any tricks to speeding it up? 2gb of ram and still this thing takes about a minute or so to finish turning a font on or off.

    You probably have a bad font. I would bet that your system log is filled with lines about being out of bounds. 10.4 is getting some font checking features, but in the mean time the only solution is one of the font repair programs you can find on versiontracker or macupdate.
