The legendary Leo (of overclocking emac fame) has overclocked a 1.25 Mac mini to 1.5Ghz (see this forum and MacNN http://forums.macnn.com/showthread.php?threadid=243130)

Cool huh? I think I'll be picking one up and swapping HD out for 7200Rpm and have a nice little audio workstation.

If you can get a 1.25ghz iMac to 1.5 that raises two questions.

    1. How fast can you get a 1.42!

    2. Is the 1.42 merely a overclocked 1.25 ghz Mac mini? Is this more of the usual Apple crippleware?

Yep willing to bet it is underclocked, but there may well be good reasons for it (like cooling in such a small case!?!) I am thinking of taking mine out of its case anyway and sticking in my PC (in a drive bay) so could put a bigger heatsink on it I guess.
