Sharing folder on Win2K PC with direct ethernet connection to PowerBook X.3.7

I know how to easily setup a shared folder on Windows with my Mac through a router, but was wondering if it's possible through the ethernet out of my PBook directly to the ethernet card of the PC. How would I set this up?

    I got this to work, just had to make sure Windows would automatically assign itself an IP then did the same connect to server through Finder.
