iBook screen problems

My iBook G3 with OS X.3.4 has a serious screen problem. It started with the

screen going blank under certain angles. Two weeks later only the 90 degree

angle of the screen could keep the laptop from going to sleep (with a pen

pushed between the screen and the rest of the computer to stabilise the

position!). Currently, the screen somehow works under any angle, but it gets

dim if not under the 90 degree angle...

Has anyone had similar problems and do you know a possible solution?

Future Solution: STAY AWAY FROM APPLE CONSUMER CRAP

Current Solution: It's common, I went through two dead screens myself. Depending on which model you have Apple should repair it for free. It has to do with a bad motherboard.

Its probably the cable that goes from the screen to the mother board being faulty.

if its not that then it could be the screen inverter or the motherboard

I had a similar issue with my iBook G3 900 mhz. The issues was covered by Apples iBook motherboard repair/replacement program. Call applecare as soon as you can.
