moving home directories to new system

can somebody give me a "step by step" course in making this work?



i want to:



-clone home directory

-install new system (somewhat same version)

-kopie home directory back to users



i know i have to adjust permissions in terminal- but don't know how.



can somebody help?

    1. Get Carbon Copy Cloner.



    2. Follow directions.

    i know and use ccc - but can i clone back only the user directory on a new installed system?

    i never tried that - but i would geuss that this would cause permission-problems.
