Im have a problem connecting hp laserjet 4v to a old
mac g3 i need to go direct but i can't make printer show
up can anyone give some help thanks
if you start by telling us which OS your using - I assume OS 9 then we can help you more easily. If you've tried installing the drivers you can always look for updated versions on the internet. Otherwise I can't help. See my thread I'm having problems getting an Epson to work in OS 9 even though it used to work.
sorry about that i am working in 0s9 and im thinking that it may be my computer because i tried to hook up
my other printer thru the pci card and it won't show up
in chooser either. any way back to hp printer i have downloaded the drivers at hp site and i do have 44 megs of ram the only thing i have not done is buy the printer cable from hp . im using standard hp cord that came with the printer and bought a adapter from radio shak to connect to a apple cable. I just dont want to spend the extra money on a cable from hp if i don't have to and hp won't give any help with this printer because it's old and they want to sell you a new one.
