I have an iBook G4, comes stock with 256mB of ram built in, DDR 266 (pc2100)

I can buy a 1GB stick of PC2700 (ddr 333) for ~150 with a lifetime warrentee, the PC2100 is ~180 with a 1 year warrentee..

if I bought the PC2700, would it work in my iBook? with desktop PCs PC2700 and PC2100 are interchangeable.

granted it won't run at full speed, but will it work at all? will it work at 2100 speeds?

I use PC 2700 RAM in my iBook. I got it because I thought some day I might want to migrate the chip to a Powerbook. The iBook recognizes it as 2700.
