edited January 2014
Napster has an
d tonight in the superbowl with copy that read "(Apple logo) + iPod = $10,000
(Napster logo) + their crappy player = 16$/mo"
all apple could do was dumb pepsi ads

well napster was very clever. not mentioning that you dont have the music if you ever end the service, not mentioning the fact that you dont have to buy music from itunes to put it on an ipod (ripping, etc), not mentiong that napster doesnt work with ipods, and the lsit goes on. fair game i guess, but theyre bastards.

Apple paid nothing for ads (pepsi paid for them, at least they did last year)
Napster pays what? $2.5 million (plus more for a billboard coming out of the ad block).
I think Apple made the best business decision.

IMHO, I think Napster wasted whatever 2+ million dollars with that ad. It's obvious they are desperate. Unanimous consesus from the dozen people who are watching the game here is that Apple got a free display of an iPod and iTunes during the SuperBowl. And at least half of the guys and girls in the room are not iPod/iTunes users... yet.
Just my 0.02?
