Mini CDs on Mac Mini

Hi all

People sometimes give me demo CDs which are the size of minidiscs, smaller than the usual CDs physically. On a tray-loading CD drive it is easy to read these as they fit into the smaller diameter tray. How would one go about reading these on a slot-loading Mac?

Thanks and cheers

It wont. Dont EVER put a min CD into a slot loading drive. EVER Dont even think about it. It will never come out again. (and I'm not kidding!) Get them to give you a normal sized CD or use a tray loading drive.

i did it once with my powerbook. Man was i pissed off at how stupid it was.

I did get it ut eventually. I did it by taking a normal CD and kept pushing the mini one into the end of the drive and then trying to eject it agian. Eventually a little but if the CD came out and i got it with needle-nose plyers

not accoridng to Apple - although I want to try now!! Apple state that only 'flat carrier trays' can use nonstandard CD shapes. NOT the slotted or slot loading.
