Anyone else having trouble with Amazon deliveries?

I am real late on a delivery of a book from the USPS, sent a good full week ago...was "estimated delivery" to be here last Thursday.



I'm worried they may have lost it.



Amazon did their job and had it out the morning after my order, but the clueless USPS...?



Anyone one else have trouble?

    As a matter of fact I have had this problem twice in the past month. Some textbooks I ordered never arrived even though their tracking information mysteriously showed "delivered." In my cases both shipments were with their supersaver free shipping.



    I spoke to my mail carrier first. He claimed to have not delievered the packages. Next the distribution managed could not find the packages in the post office. Finally I contacted Amazon who very politely asked me to verifiy with my local post office that the packages were well and truly lost.



    Once this was done, Amazon placed the orders for me again with next day shipping all free of charge. These arrived as scheduled. From now on, I am going to try the standard shipping or 2 day shipping rather than the supersaver thing just to see if it makes any difference.

    Interesting. I actually paid $4 for standard shipping which is why I am so surprised. I have had good luck in the past with things arriving a day or two earlier than estimated.
