iChat question
Hey I'm looking for some help on an issue I've been having with iChat. I bought my Dad a new iBook and iSight so that we could video chat and he could see is grandson. But, we have been having some connection and quality issues. I have a cable modem connection, my father has a two-way satellite connection. I was thinking that bandwidth should not me an issue, but at times we have difficulty connecting at all and other times when we do connect he has video and audio from me and I have only video from him. I have tried to use the connection doctor to determine the problem and it seems as if he is sending about half the data that I am transmitting. We also seem to have issues with voice chat only as well. Does anyone have any thoughts? Are Two-Way satellite connection just not sufficient bandwidth to maintain the data flow for iChat?

satellite connections have huge latency issues that often cause problems with real-time activities.
