If there is anyone in the Chapel Hill/Durham area that likes old macs - first person to come to my house to pick this stuff up gets it for free (but you have to take all of it, no picking and choosing, and I will not ship it to you):

Power Mac 9500 with G3 replacement processor - I think it has System 8 on it. Included Keyboard and mouse, 80 MB memory.

Epson 11"x17" SCSI scanner (very sturdy, paid $1K in 1994)

Special power strip that turns on other stuff when you turn on your mac

Misc parts, cables, disks and manuals.

damn, wish i was in the area (my wife's family is all over the state, so if this were near a holiday...), if nothign else, just for that scanner (the 9500 would go in my personal museum, which now has a mac plus, mac color classic, powermacs 7300 and 7500, performa 6400, laserwriter 16/600 and 4/600, and a starmax 3000.

for some reason, people just GIVE me this stuff. for some reason, i never get rid of it.

I saved money for years trying to get a 8500 but by the time I saved enough money, the G3 Minitower came out. I heard the 9500 was the first multi-processor capable machine from Apple. And you could add a Intel processor card along with the original to run PC program natively.

It may be just be rumors, or these brownies, but I love nostalgia trips.

Last chance before it goes to the thrift store Tuesday...

(ps - I lost the power strip, but it includes an optical 3 button mouse).
