I was wondering if anyone has encountered one of these AIO machines, new for the year. It's Sony's VAIO V television-PC.

SonyStyle's site on the VAIO V.

Sony offers two models, at 17 and 20 inches. Both use high end Pentium 4 processors with 800 megahertz frontside buses. Both models use XBRITE technology, offering what are likely splendid images. Both offer 512 megabytes of RAM and larger stock hard drives than the iMac G5. It also uses the nVidia GeForce Go6700 with more memory than the iMac G5. The VAIO V also uses DVD+R/DVD+-RW drives stock.

Too bad it looks like this.

Has anyone tried this thing?

We sell these things at work. The stand part makes it quite slick- nowhere near as refined as the iMac. I don't like the flimsy fold-up keyboard either, but overall, they are not bad systems.
