FCE 2 - Can't put a transition between 2 subclips

Hello,



I'm trying to put a cross disolve between two subclips and I'm getting the X next to the cursor and it weon't let me do it....



why?????

    Your problem here is that each of your clips is at their limit. There is no extra footage available for the transition to work.

    Try trimming a few frames from each clip and then try the transition again, this should work for you
