What sort of maximum range are you looking at between airport basestation and computer without drastically affecting performance? (iMac G5)

    A lot depends on whether there are things in the way...



    I get fantastic reception on my PB that is 10 feet from my basestation on the other side of a foot-thick stone wall, but not very good reception 30 feet after going through three foot-thick stone walls and past a radiator.



    (If that makes any sense... )

    I was at a neighbours drinking and they had a friend down who had a laptop, he was on my internet across the street from me. This is with the Airport Express btw. We have the AE in the middle floor getting 4/5 reception in the basement and upstairs. My next door neighbour gets a decent connection as well!
