Mail won't connect to Server

I cannot use my Optimum Online Email Account on Mail anymore. Cablevision said the modem was working properly so it must be an Apple issue.



This is the error message I get:



Connection Failed



There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Check the settings for account ?torch333@optonline.net? or try again.



The server error encountered was: The server ?mail.optonline.net? cannot be contacted on port 110.





Any ideas?
