iPod's dying gasp?

So, I've had an iPod (3G 30 Gig) for a yer and a half now, and I adore it. I am worried however, because as of today, it isn't working anymore.



I ran Micromat Tech Tool Pro today, doing a surface scan of all my hard drives, etc. It fixed a few problems, nothing major...



Well, since then, when I plugged my hard drive in, I get this error

I tried restoring the ipod, and erasing it in disk utility. Nothing seems to work...



Any ideas?

    sorry to waste a topic... it was one stinking bad counting crows mp3 that was screwing it all up. figured it out.
