Hi all, I just installed my new airport base station with air tunes and all is running fine I am going online, but when I click on apple updates it will not detect the network, an error message appears and I must quit the program. I don?t know what?s wrong. I can update my PC (it?s connected to the router I bought which also sends the signal through a premium cat 6 into the airport), and all goes swell. Also, IE and Safari will not let me update my forums or Live Journal.

Have you selected the AirPort signal strength icon to display in your top menu bar? It's a great way to determine what signal strength you laptop is detecting. Turn it on in the Network control panel/Airport tab. Then move around where you're working to see how the signal strength changes. It can vary a lot depending on the equipment, walls, etc. around you.
