Select file name, press Return, edit filename, press Return.



Of course OS9 won't recognize that as a change to the file *type*, which is what I suspect you really want. For that you need a utility to alter the file creator/type information. On that front, I'm afraid I can't readily help you, it's been six years since I used OS9 in any real capacity, and at least three since I booted it at all, even in Classic mode. \
