Questions: Seti MP aware?

I have been trying to figure out if the seti GUI version for Mac OS 10.3 is multi-processor aware. The information I have found so far is quite conflicting. Some people say it is MP aware, others say it isn't, and then still others say that you have to somehow run two clients at once in order to use both CPUs.

Seti's own website has conflicting information. Their "read me" file says that seti has full multiprocessor support, but their FAQ says it doesn't. Does anyone know what the hell is going on here. If it's not multiprocessor aware can I run two clients at once and how? blah blah... I have never seen a feature so poorly documented. Anyway help would be appreciated.

If it's performance you're looking for, the GUI version is an unlikely candidate.

SETI run from command line crunches far faster, and if any version were MP aware, I'd suspect it were that version... but you are correct that the documentation could be better.

I read that the GUI version is only slower if you allow it to show the graphics. I have it set to turn the graphics off right away.

MMM guessing no one really knows LOL guess it's a dark secret or something. But between all the contradictions in regard to berkley's own info I suppose it would be hard to know anything.
