Macintosh Interface Designer passes away

For any one interested, the User Interface pioneer that is responsible for the design of much of the Macintosh user interface passed away this past weekend (26 Feb 2005). He was one of the members of the Macintosh project (1979). It is reported that the name Macintosh came from Jef who got the name from his favorite type of apple, the McIntosh. If you are interested in the other contributions that he made to the interface (and some of the features he wanted to have that were left out) check out the book "The Humane Interface."

Forgive me if this information was already posted. I tried to use the search to check first but it did not appear to be working [for me].
