What Next??? An Apple branded windows PC???
Madness I know- but why don't Apple make a branded PC?
What's stopping them from doing this? They design great hardware and would win in this market.
Software companies make apps for multiple platforms so why can't A munufactures ?

The answer is beliefs. If they did that, they would be seen not to believe in their own operating system. People wouldn't buy Macs because Apple don't believe in Mac OS X so much they are doing something else. Existing Mac users would see it as a sign the company is turning away from Mac OS X and many would probably jump ship.
