Duel Video cards in 1.6 G5 for Apple Motion

Hi folks,



Just saw Alienware's website and their Video array "technology" wondering if possible to add 2 video cards to my G5 to power Apple motion. Damn video hungry app! Wanted them to act as duel on the one screen ( a new 20inch Alu Cinema Display) if not could I used the two cards to power 2 different monitors with spanning?

    You can definitely do spanning - that's been in Mac OS for a long time. It only has AGP and PCI-X slots though. If you get a PCI or PCI-X card you just plug it in and the Displays control panel will automatically let you arrange where the monitors are, which one has the menu bar, etc.



    I don't know of a way to do SLI-like stuff on the Mac.
