"Scheduled" sound digitizing software?

I need a little advice for finding some software, I hope someone can help!

I need to digitize continuous live audio via the line-in port on my Powerbook. However I need the software to automatically segment the live audio feed into, say, 10 minute segments without missing any of the audio: be able to save a ten minute chunk and start a new ten minute chunk without there being any gap between the end of one and the beginning of another. So the software needs to be able to save one digitized file while recording the next without any lost audio. The software also needs to be able to automatically increment the file names so that I know the exact order in which they were recorded.

I have done this before on a PC using a program called "Loop Recorder" that was designed by some academics, I believe. Anything similar to this for Mac OS X? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

AudioHijack from RogueAmoeba can break up recordings into preset file sizes during the recordings. Their free utility, LineIn, lets you record from ... well, the line input, of course.
