New iMac?

I've finally decided that I want to make the move to Mac once and for all, and I thought the iMac (as oppossed to the powermac) would be a good first step. However, I have heard that Apple might be releasing a newer version soon. Does anyone have an idea if that is true, and if so should I wait or is that too long? What do you guys think? Thanks.

    I normally say buy it now. However, we have been reading things online that updated iMacs may be out in mid-April, with Tiger. Un updated spec iMac and Tiger would probably be enough to make me wait. Mid-April is not very far away.

    Although his thread may be helpful, I don't really believe that new iMacs will appear before this summer. This one is too related to what you ask.
