Stuffit Oddity

Stuffit Standard 9 came on my PB a while ago. I just now tried to download a sit file from Saft and it will not open with SE. Stuffit Expander will not open either in the applications folder nor the compressor. Any suggestions? I'd hate to redownload it again.
