Does it make use of two processors on a dual processor machine?
No, only a single processor will be used when rendering interactively from within Maya._ During batch mode rendering it will be possible to have two processors rendering different frames simultaneously, however this will consume two licenses.

If Apple (Steve Jobs) wanted to sell some Macs in new untapped markets, and RenderMan for Maya all that the same time, while getting the Macintosh foot in the door of 3D, he should allow Macs with two processors to render different frames simultaneously without additional licenses. 4 CPU limit without additional licenses on Mac's. (Dual Processors w/Dual Cores) Now that would get their feet wet in the 3D world for sure.

Yeah, that's a must for 3D that we don't have AFAIAC, but Apple's price for Shake on the Mac is much lower than the Linux version (about half I think). That's a pretty good incentive right there, but to offer this as well. A lot of people would seriously stop and take look at this offer. And the combined offer. They could probably sell a few small, and large studio multi user licenses of Shake as well.

This is from MacOSRumors, but they have been right a few times in the past:
New GPUs from ATi, nVIDIA: Apple is reportedly working with ATi on two new GPUs that will be featured in its next generation of PowerMacs -- specifically, a Mac Edition variant of the Radeon X850 Platinum Edition and the first Professional-level ATi GPU to support the Mac: the FireGL V7100.
Both support PCI Express x16. On the nVIDIA front, to compete with the new high-end ATi GPUs Apple is OEM'ing, a version of the GeForce 6800 Ultra is being prepared which supports both PCI Express and SLI -- the technology which allows two PCI Express graphics cards to be run in tandem for nearly double the 3D performance of a single card.
