SuperDrives In New Powerbooks :-(

Well my bro got a 17inch powerbook and it can only burn dvd at 2x not 8x....



I'm not alone on this have a look at these forums.....

I'm surprised this isn't on any news site like the track pad issue that was reported everywhere.



Anyone else have this issue?

    Don't you need to use 8x DVD-R's only to get that speed. Otherwise it defaults to like 1-2x.



    I'm lazy and didn't Cut and paste the link. Something to do with finals tomorrow morning and this drink in my hand.

    ditto. you need to buy 8x discs!
