Application to stretch 4:3 DVD to widescreen?

I was wondering, if anyone knows of a player I could download that would allow me to watch a 4:3 DVD stretched to 16:9, or even better stretched to the shape of my display. Yes, I know this seems pointless and will be all distorted, but for a particular show, I'm wanting to try it. In fact, I think I might have had an applciation that did this a couple weeks ago, but I deleted it.



Any ideas what I need? Thanks.

    That is weird. But maybe VLC would let you do that.

    I did try VLC. Ok, I figured out how I did it the other day. I just changed my screen resolution to 1024x768 stretched. It works great that way.
