Audio In on new 1Ghz iMac
When asking a sales rep at the local Apple store (Buffalo, NY) about working with audio files, he pointed out that the new 1GHz 17" iMac now sports an extra audio-in jack, since there had been noise problems when importing sound files through USB.
Any experience with this? I'd appreciate some general info on the issues that may arise...
Any idea if the soon-to-be-available 867MHz iMacs will have the Audio-in jack, too? (The 800 MHz doesn't have it)
background: I want to buy my ex-girlfirend (now wife) a new iMac, since I feel really, really bad about making her use my old 7200/90 ;-) (somewhat souped-up, yet atrociusly slow). She would use the iMac mostly for typical web and office stuff, but since she is a musician she likes the aspect of being able to record music digitally and collaborate with other musician via the internet...
