Frequent SMB Disconnect Error Message

At work we have a mixture of Macs (art dept) and PCs, I believe the server is running on Windows NT. On any given day, we all get this error message literally 50-100 times. It doesn't actually disconnect the server, it just pops up and the foremost application loses focus, and you have to click OK for it to go away. Our computers will also randomly slow down, the entire computer seems to lockup for several seconds as the server is doing something. It's extremely frustrating to say the least.



Does anyone have any ideas on how to help?
