Airport Express & Brother HL-2040 compatibility issues
I spent 30 minutes on the phone with Apple today trying to solve a compatibility issue b/w Airport Express (refurbished unit from Apple) and a Brother Laser printer HL-2040. The printer and the iMac work fine together, but the printer and the AP Express don't work together. I know that Brother makes a HL-2070 (network laser), but I didn't think I needed a network printer with the AP Express. Has anyone else had any similar issues with a Brother HL-2040 printer and AP Express?
I think I'll exchange it for a Canon MF3110, hopefully there are no issues with this printer. Usually, Canon products work well with Apple.
Thanks,
Mark

Canon printers do not support Mac printer sharing!
Found out the hard way when I got a Canon Pixma 3000 and called Canon about it, meanwhile, Windows printer sharing works perfectly
That's what Virtual PC is for I guess... I use it so I can print from Mac
As for the Brother printer, give Gimp Print drivers a try. I use it to allow my mac to print from a windows computer that has a Brother MFC-3200C and it works perfectly.
