Hi there,
A friend of mine recently bought a Mac mini, and I wondered if there would be some sort of special rebate on Tiger for everyone who bought a Mac the last month before Tiger came out - something like the "up to date" program of M$ Office.
Any ideas?

But Tiger hasn't been officially announced, so he won't qualify.
That's the way it's worked in the past AFAIK.

If he had bought the Mini after Tiger had been announced, and Tiger wasn't in the box, then he would qualify for the Up To Date programme.

What if a customer ordered their mini back in February and it arrived after Tiger is announced?... cos I'm thinking this is what's going to happen to me. RAAHHHHHHH!!!
I've been waiting 3 weeks so far... 4 to go
And the Mac mini is lovely
Neil.

I received my Mac mini today, after waiting a massive eleven weeks for it. The good news is, I put my serial number into the page on Apple's site and it accepted it for the Up To Date program. So I guess it's all done from when you receive it, rather than order it.

Wow, I think Apples delivery times just suck here in Europe. I usually wait for my bi-yearly US trips to do my Mac shopping, the Fashion Island Apple Store in Newport Beach, CA. Here?s a helpful tip for any Europe dwellers, your next purchase should be from www.yellowdoglinux.com. Their faster at deliveries then EU-Apple and cheaper as the US dollar is weaker. IE: they?re the only US store that is aloud to sell Macs overseas.
