Is there any way to personalie the Apple keyboard?

It seems that every keyboard on the market has programable buttons to perform user defined tasks. The Apple keyboard has more function keys than the average keyboard. Yet that seems to be an oxymoron because the keys are mostly functionless. I want to have control over my keyboard and define the function of the keys, at least those that are not being used for any particular purpose. Is there some program that offers this ability? Thanks for your help.

    System Prefs -> Keyboard and Mouse -> KeyBoard Shorcuts?



    I can't check Panther right now but I think it has it too.



    If not, QuicKeys by CE Software will do anything. It costs money.



    Check VersionTracker for other utilities.
