403b Plans

A friend of mine has asked me to help her pick between the three different 403b providers her company offers and I've been trying to find a website that ranks these companies. Anyone have any advice? The three providers are Travelers, TIAA/CREF and Prudential Financial.

You might as well just hit up the usual finance type websites. 403b plans are to nonprofits as 401k are to for profit companies. You still pick mutual funds offered by each company and bank the tax free interest/capital gains until you retire. Some 403b plans (like Travelers) also allow you to invest in fixed annuities as well. Depends on whether you want to know upfront what you'll get or if you're ready to ride the stock market to your financial future.

Don't know if that helped, but you might want to start here --> http://www.403bwise.com/ . Do a Google search, that'll reveal oodles of sites related to 403(b) plans.
