Elephant treadmill...iPod next?
According to this article, Zoo-keepers at an Alaskan zoo have commissioned the creation of a treadmill for their elephant(s) exercise needs:

Next question is whether they should commission Apple for an "Elephant iPod"?

funny that I should see this, as my company has just been asked to generate a quote for creating a 3D model of an elephant brain for a television show. The show will use the brain to highlight certain areas where memories are stored. They are trying to prove that traumatic experiences when the elephants are young lead to violent outbursts when the elephants are adults. The producer actually used the term "post traumatic stress synrome" which seemed sort of funny to me. I can see the Pharma companies commercials now "Elephazagra is not for all elephants. You should not give your elephant elephazagra if they are pregnant, nursing, or may become pregnant. Side effects may include internal hemeraging, eye iritation, bleeding from the ears, sexual side effects..."
This could be a whole new market for them.
