Apple as Top 10 Internet Company

I thought this was an interesting comment made by Mr. Jobs. I am interested in hearing more about how he plans on going about this change.

If .Mac is the first try at this, there is a lot of work to go. The service has had two changes over the last few years. It removed iReview and KidsSafe - and recently added more mail space. Not exactly cutting edge "top 10" work. If one is going to consider themselves along side Yahoo, Ebay, Amazon, AOL and EarthLink, one is going to have to do better.

I really like .Mac, but when the only changes are a handful of template changes to homepage and some extra mail space, then what are they really going to offer customers.

You failed to mention Google who is developing a new environment of web-based services that are more than just e-mail and templates.

What was the comment? You don't quote it here or post a link?

My first thought was iTunes and QuickTime which are also internet tools.
