do you think early 2002 quicksilver qualify for this? i don't have a mirror-door model but mine is noisy as hell too

    Compare the shapes of the Power supplies on the QS and the MDD and you'll see why this won't work for the QS.

    I remember reading the chrome Power Macs were noticeably noisier than the Quicksilver Power Macs. Certainly more so than the single processor Power Macs like mine--733MHz.



    Nevertheless, there was even complaint about my model. (Any maybe yours?) Perhaps because people were spoiled by the cube and iMacs. I recall hearing about a third party fan that would help. Since I put mine on a floor stand, the noise hasnt been a concern so I didnt persue it. But if I can find a resource, I'll get back to you.
